Post N°7:Melancholia of Edvar Munch 1894-1895

Hellow everyone, today we have been entrusted the difficult talk to choose our favorite pice of art.

I think in many paints but I have stayed with the painter who most marked in my childhood; the expressionist Edvard Munch, he was born in Norway ,1863, and i choose one oil on canvas painted in 1894 when he

had thirty years old, its was titled “melancholia”.

“Melancholia its a psicologic-portrait when the protagonista its the foreground character's feeling. This character without many special features so he can be anyone and for this he is all of us, also we can see in the backgorund two or maybe three persons, two of this look like bride and groom and a boat in the dock, that surely is a sing that help contrast a happy future of other with the melancholia of the principal character.

I like so much because its the few painters that use the colors and the brushstrokes are on to create a psicologic world, without giving importance to the material qualities to the protagonist and landscape.

Many teacher can teach who paint a bottle of glass, whats colors and What colors and how you should apply them to make it look like a glass bottle but nothing can you teach what is the color or  the form to the melancholia, only a person who live in it will know  how to do it.
